Wedding Reception Inspiration

Introduction

I love some good wedding reception entertainment. The music, the dancing, the food, and the drinks are all great, but they’re nothing compared to what really makes a wedding reception special: the games and activities! Of course, as much as I love games at weddings, there’s one thing that often holds people back: they don’t know where to start. Well my friends, here are some ideas for you so you can have fun with your guests on your big day!

Wedding Reception Entertainment Ideas

Wedding reception entertainment ideas can be as simple or elaborate as you want them to be. If you want your guests to have fun and keep the party going, here are some ideas:

  • A dance floor is a must! If there’s no room for one in your venue, try setting up an area with chairs around it so that people can still get up and dance. Or just make sure there are enough tables around that guests won’t feel like they have to sit down at all times–that will allow them more freedom when they’re ready to move around.
  • A photo booth is another great way for everyone in attendance at the wedding reception (including yourself) not only have fun but also remember this special day forever through photos taken by their loved ones during those precious moments of celebration together during such an important milestone event in life’s journey called marriage!

Giant Games and Activities For Your Wedding

Giant games are a fun and unique way to keep your guests entertained. They can be used indoors or outdoors, for all ages, and for any type of event!

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Giant Connect Four: We can set up a giant Connect Four game, and you can play it just like you would the normal game.
  • Giant Beer Pong: This is a lot like regular beer pong but with bigger cups, bigger balls and sometimes even more alcohol! You’ll need lots of space for this one so make sure your venue has enough room before booking us for this one.
  • Corn Hole: If you love bean bags then corn hole is definitely for you! We can provide boards and bean bags for your guests to enjoy during breaks from dancing or mingling with other guests at the reception or wedding party.
  • Jenga: A classic party game which everyone will enjoy playing no matter what age group they fall into – even kids love Jenga! If there are young children attending then we recommend setting up an area away from where most people will be sitting so they don’t accidentally knock over any towers while trying their hand at building them themselves (and possibly breaking some blocks).

Think outside the box with some fun activities.

  • Think about the theme of your wedding. If you are having a traditional wedding, think about what kinds of activities would fit into that theme and add some fun to the party!
  • Think about the type of guests you are inviting. Are they young or old? Do they all know each other? This will help determine what kind of activities would be appropriate for them at your reception. Maybe one group isn’t super comfortable dancing, while another loves to get down on some classic tunes!
  • Think about where and when your reception will take place–the venue and season/time of day have a huge impact on what kind of activities work best at different times in different places (for example: if it’s summertime then people might want something outside; but if it’s wintertime then maybe something indoors).
